A legacy that transformed Bravense futsal
At this time when the island of Brava is living the spirit of its June festivities, where culture and sport go hand in hand, it is impossible not to remember a person who has profoundly marked the history of futsal and refereeing on our island: Carlos Leite.
When he arrived in Brava, Carlos Leite quickly demonstrated his desire to collaborate and contribute to the development of local sport. With vision, dedication and a spirit of service, he helped to raise the quality of futsal, refereeing and the organization of tournaments.
Who doesn't remember the historic Companies and Institutions Tournament promoted by Desporto Brava? It was a milestone that changed the way futsal was played on the island. Properly equipped teams, uniformed referees and a more professional organization became part of the reality of our tournaments.
All this happened because someone made the island of Brava his second home. Carlos Leite volunteered his time, knowledge and experience, always with the aim of helping the sport grow.
From then on, the tournaments gained more luster, more notoriety and greater recognition. Bravense futsal now has a new dynamic and a renewed image, the result of their initiative and commitment.
Therefore, we must continue to value and promote the legacy that Carlos Leite has left us. His contribution will remain forever in the memory of all those who love sport on the island of Brava.
