Alex "Xaxe" Veiga promotes charity event in Pawtucket to support US musicians' trip to inaugurate church on Brava Island
Musician Alex "Xaxe" Veiga will hold a benefit event on June 20 at the Le-Foyer Club in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with live music, guest artists and food, with the aim of raising funds to help musicians from the island of Brava participate in the inauguration of the new church in N's do Monti, Cape Verde.
Bravenian musician Alex "Xaxe" Veiga is organizing a special charity event on June 20 at the Le-Foyer Club, located at 151 Fountain Street in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The initiative aims to bring together the Cape Verdean community and music lovers for an evening of solidarity, culture and entertainment.
The event will feature live music, guest artists, a live band, appetizers and finger food, creating an atmosphere of celebration and unity around a cause that is important to the Bravense community.
According to Xaxe, the main aim of the fundraiser is to help musicians from the island of Brava travel to take part in the inauguration of the new church in N's do Monti, Cape Verde. The funds raised will go towards airfare and accommodation costs for the invited artists.
"I would love you all to join us for this special evening. It will be a great celebration with good music, special guests, food and positive energy, all for a meaningful cause," said Alex "Xaxe" Veiga in the invitation released to the public.
The doors to the event open at 6pm and the program is scheduled to start at 7pm. Tickets will cost 40 dollars at the entrance.
The organization expects strong participation from the local community and the Cape Verdean diaspora in the region, reinforcing support for the cultural and religious traditions of the island of Brava.
