Ship Kriola Resumes Operations on the Leeward Line with Three Weekly Calls

CV Interilhas has announced the return of the ship Kriola to regular operation on the Sotavento line, after successfully completing all the required inspections and certifications, including those for seaworthiness, Class and Flag. The vessel left the island of São Vicente at 5am today for the Port of Praia, marking the start of its re-entry into the official schedule.

Also today, at 5pm, the Kriola will take the route Santiago/May/Santiago, fulfilling the travel plan for this restart. From July 10th, the ship will resume its fixed operational model, ensuring three weekly connections between Santiago and the islands of Maio, Fogo and Brava. This measure aims to reinforce the predictability and continuity of services, especially for the communities that suffered most from the ship's technical stoppage.

CV Interilhas acknowledged the challenges experienced during the recent period of national emergency, pointing out that the interruption of the Kriola's services caused significant constraints for many customers. During this time, the company and its teams worked hard to adapt existing resources and minimize the impacts.

According to the official note, the recovery of the ship is the result of a coordinated effort between all the institutions and entities linked to the maritime sector, which have acted continuously to guarantee the mobility of the population with responsibility and commitment.
