The Court of the Brava District orders the preventive detention of an individual for drug trafficking.

According to information gathered, the individual was detained last Thursday, the 5th, during a search carried out in Porto da Furna, where authorities found approximately 1.5 kilograms of dried herb, supposedly "padjinha," and the illicit substance was seized on site.

After being brought before the judicial authorities, the court determined that the legal requirements for applying the most severe coercive measure were met, taking into account the seriousness of the crime and the risks associated with drug trafficking.

The case is now proceeding through the legal process, while the defendant awaits further developments in pre-trial detention at the Civil Prison on Fogo Island.
