Andy Andrade criticizes political promises and denounces abandonment of Brava island

Andy Andrade, founder of maritime company CV Fast Ferry and an active member of the Bravense diaspora, has taken to social media to express his criticism of the political and social situation on the island of Brava.

In a post with a strong critical tone, Andrade questioned recent promises made to the Bravense population, claiming that many of them came during the pre-election period and still have no concrete results. According to the businessman, certain promises were presented just a few days before the elections, raising doubts about their actual implementation.

In the same publication, Andy Andrade recalled the difficulties faced by the island's population in recent months, referring to periods marked by water shortages and a lack of basic food products. The founder of CV Fast Ferry said that both residents and members of the diaspora had questioned whether there was an active response from the authorities to the problems experienced on the island.

The businessman also criticized what he considers to be attempts to silence critical voices on social media, arguing that Bravenses have the right to denounce faults and demand better conditions for the island, regardless of party positions.

"We defend Brava and not party color; we create legacy and not riches," wrote Andrade, also adding the English expression "too little, too late", in a reference to recently announced promises.

The publication generated several reactions on social media, fueling debates between residents and members of the diaspora about development, governance and priorities for the island of Brava.
