The event promises to be an authentic cultural journey through the archipelago's nine inhabited islands, bringing together artists from each of them on stage. More than a musical show, it is a celebration of Cape Verdean identity, its traditions and the cultural diversity that marks each island.

Representation of each island

The stage will be transformed into a veritable mosaic of Cape Verde, with sounds, rhythms and voices that transport the audience directly to the islands of origin:

  • Santo Antão, known as the "breadbasket of Cape Verde" and for the excellence of its grog, will be represented by the artist Gisney and the group Santo Antão United, which promises to bring the energy of the mountain and tradition.

  • São Vicente, the island of Porto Grande and internationally renowned for its vibrant Carnival, presents a luxury trio: Rosa, Lutchinha and Lita, artists who carry the soul of Mindel in their voice and rhythm.

  • São Nicolau, the land of Baltasar Lopes and the mythical Ribeira Brava, brings to the stage the performers Roberto and Benvindo Cruz, who promise moments of literary and musical nostalgia.

  • Sal, the island of the international airport and the famous salt pans, will be honored by the voices of Pituca and Leninha, bringing freshness and energy to the show.

  • Boavista, with its dunes and paradisiacal beaches, is represented by the artist Lena Neves, whose performance promises to transport those present to the serenity of the Boavista landscapes.

  • May, known for its crystal clear beaches and acacia forests, presents Totche, an artist who mixes tradition and modernity in his repertoire.

  • Santiago, the largest island and cradle of funaná and batuque, will be represented by musicians Zé Galvão and Bino, bringing the rhythmic and cultural strength of the heart of the archipelago.

  • Fogo, dominated by the majestic volcano and famous for its wine, will be represented by Neuza Pina and Talulu, who promise a show full of intensity and passion.

  • Brava, the smallest of the inhabited islands and known as the "island of flowers" and cradle of the morna, closes the list with the artists Ju Sanca and Samuel Santiago, who will thrill the audience with songs of lullaby and deep melody.

A night of identity and unity

According to the organization, the show "Ilha a Ilha" was conceived as a tribute to the diversity and unity of the Cape Verdean people. Each artist brings with them not only their voice, but also the history, memory and symbols of their island, creating an atmosphere of cultural sharing that promises to thrill all those present.

The event will also be a meeting point between generations, allowing the younger members of the diaspora to get in touch with Cape Verde's musical richness and the older members to relive moments of nostalgia and pride in their homeland.

Open invitation to the community

Atlantic Shipping would like to invite the entire Cape Verdean community and the general public to take part in this unmissable evening. "Ilha a Ilha" is not just a show, but a cultural journey, a celebration of identity and a reunion with our roots.

The party is set to take place at the Venus de Milo, in Swansea, and promises to go down in the memory books as one of the biggest Cape Verdean cultural events held in the New England area.
