Benfica de Nossa Senhora do Monte suffers heavy defeat against África Show in Round 4

Benfica de Nossa Senhora do Monte were beaten 4-0 at home by África Show in the fourth round of the National Football Championship.

The team from Brava took to the field with obvious difficulties, especially in terms of fitness and collective organization. Throughout the match, Benfica showed limitations in the connection between sectors, in the recovery of second balls and in the construction of consistent offensive plays, factors that ended up conditioning the overall performance.

The África Show showed a more aggressive approach from the off. As early as the third minute, they created the first great opportunity to score, with a shot that hit the bar of the opponent's goal. Throughout the match, the visiting team maintained a greater attacking intensity and ended up fully justifying the result they achieved.

With this win, África Show remain unbeaten in the competition, joining Palmeira and Cutelinho on that record. Benfica, meanwhile, are still going through a process of adaptation, having initially been prepared to compete at regional level and now facing the demands of the national championship.

Despite the negative result, Benfica are still above four teams in the league table. With two rounds to go, the club remains focused on finishing the competition competitively, in a context of sporting development and accumulated experience.
