Brava: 503 MpD members registered to elect a new president
On Brava Island, 503 members of the Movement for Democracy (MpD) are registered to vote and will participate in the election to choose the party’s next president.
Party members are spread across three polling stations in Furna, Nova Sintra, and Nossa Senhora do Monte, where they will have the opportunity to exercise their right to choose among the three candidates for the MpD leadership: Meno Fernandes, Filipe Tavares, and Paulo Veiga.
Voting on Brava is part of the internal process to elect the party’s new leadership, as party members are called upon to decide who should assume the presidency of the MpD.
With 503 registered members, attention is now focused on voter turnout and the results that will emerge from the three polling stations set up on the island.
