In the next few days, Brava City Council will begin work on the second phase of interventions in housing in the light of the Requalification, Rehabilitation and Accessibility Program (PRRA), a housing rehabilitation axis, which will benefit another 66 families.

The information was advanced to Inforpress by the advisor to the mayor's office, Danilson Andrade, who took stock of several visits made during the past week.

According to the same source, the visits served to verify the progress of the works on site, as well as to find out about the situation of those that have already been completed and those that will start shortly.

As he explained, these visits, in addition to the inspection aspect of the work on the ground, also demonstrate "a certain concern" on the part of the team to be sure of what is being done.

Danilson Andrade stressed that when carrying out these visits, they are faced with “satisfaction and contentment” on the part of the beneficiary families, as they believe that they are giving “some dignity and a little comfort”.

However, he said he was aware that in addition to the 63 homes in the first phase, which are already in the final phase, the other 63 that will start in the second and this same number of interventions in a third phase, this number is insufficient to accommodate all existing orders.

As he commented, the program has about 400 requests, but what they always look for when they receive requests and get funding to support it is to visit communities, listen to people and see cases of “extreme need and urgency”, as priority interventions in ceilings and bathrooms.

The same source also noted that these interventions, financed by the PRAA in partnership with the city council, are distributed to several local contractors, which has had a “great impact” on the local economy.

The municipality is favoring the construction/intervention in bathrooms, housing roofs and some other intervention, such as flooring and plastering in some housing compartments.
