Brava: Court sentences 27-year-old man to pre-trial detention for sexually abusing a minor
The Brava District Court today ordered the pre-trial detention of a 27-year-old man suspected of committing the crime of sexual abuse against a 13-year-old girl who is pregnant.
According to a judicial source, the more severe coercive measure was applied after the suspect's first presentation to the judicial authorities, taking into account the seriousness of the facts and the need to safeguard the investigation.
The suspect has already been taken to Fogo Central Prison, where he will await the proceedings and his trial.
The case is being monitored by the competent authorities.
