Brava: Municipality honors "guardians" who keep Eugénio Tavares Square among the most beautiful in the country

The focus is on Praça Eugénio Tavares, in Nova Sintra, which has been widely praised for its preservation and aesthetics.
According to the municipality's statement, the current state of the square and the city's green spaces is not the result of chance, but of daily dedication that "goes far beyond the call of duty". The statement highlights the often silent work of those who plant and care for the local flora, ensuring that the "island of Flores" lives up to its name.
"They are 'hands that care' and transform the daily life of our city into a scene worthy of contemplation," says the municipality.
The municipal executive stresses that the high level of professionalism of these employees is what allows Praça Eugénio Tavares to be proudly recognized as one of the most beautiful in Cape Verde.
The space, which is the social heart of Nova Sintra, is now described as a more "pleasant and welcoming" place, both for residents and tourists visiting the island.
With this note of appreciation, Brava Town Council wants to reinforce the importance of human capital in land management, stressing that the beauty of public spaces is a "reflection of the love" that these employees dedicate to their land.
