Brava/São João: Maya Furtado and Leonardo Barros elected Miss and Mister São João 2025
Candidates Maya Furtado and Leandro Barros were elected Miss and Mister São João 2025 in the early hours of this morning, as part of the celebrations for the day of the municipality and the patron saint of the island of Brava.
The third edition of the event took place in the Santana multipurpose hall and saw the participation of eighteen candidates from various parts of the island of Brava, nine of whom were "miss" candidates and the other half "mister" candidates.
The first lady and gentleman's sash went to contestants Catiliana Furtado and Kelvin Furtado, but Celma Soares was the most awarded candidate of the night, collecting two sashes: Miss Congeniality and Miss Popular.

However, candidates Melissa Lopes and Fredilson Ramos were elected miss and mister photogenic 2025.
The winning couple of this 3rd edition of Miss and Mister São João 2025, both born and living in Brava, had won the Miss and Mister Liceu 2025 contest in the municipality last month.
Nelson Miranda, a member of the organization, gave a positive assessment of the event, stressing that the feeling is one of "duty done", as they managed to achieve their objectives, since, according to him, it was a "quality" event.
The person in charge was fully willing to apply to hold the competition again next year, given that they were holding "a quality event".
