Brava: Police station starts Operation Christmas and New Year 2019 with “special attention” to the new alcohol law

The Brava police station has already started its 2019 Christmas and New Year's Operation in safety, involving the 20 police officers of the station and with a "special attention" to the new alcohol law.

This information was provided today to Inforpress by the commander of the police station Higor Almeida, explaining that like all units at the national level of commands and squadrons, the Brava police station has scheduled several activities in which the objective is to guarantee security, full exercise of rights and freedom of citizens, protection of their property and guaranteeing public order and tranquillity.

Within these activities are scheduled, in the road safety sector, inspections, awareness of drivers about the care they should take on the roads, driving under the influence of alcohol, stop operation among other actions within this framework.

He also informed that self and foot patrols have been scheduled, in order to make people feel safe, since, as he explained, this is a time when many people return to the island, which causes a certain crowding of people and It is in this sense that the patrols will be carried out.

Inspections will be carried out upon the arrival of ships at the Furna pier, since this is the only entry and exit port on the island, as a way of controlling the entry of luggage, goods and passengers, "guaranteeing" security in every way .

Higor Almeida guaranteed that his team will pay special attention to the new alcohol law as it is a new law that restricts some behaviors that were previously considered normal during the festive season, but are now not allowed.

He stressed that his team is made up of 20 staff, including the maritime and tax detachment, adding that it is motivated, prepared to contribute, so that everything runs as normal.

To the population of Brave, the commander says he hopes that they have a high sense of responsibility at this time when spirits are a little higher, but caution and moderation are needed.

Likewise, he calls for a moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages, as he stressed that most of the problems detected are caused by excessive consumption of alcohol.

The plan started from December 16th and runs until January 5th, 2020.
