The initiative is the result of a strategic partnership between the Cape Verdean municipality and the Ministry of Family, Inclusion and Social Development (MFIDS). According to the statement issued by CMB, this joint effort reflects the effectiveness of the social protection and anti-inequality policies that have been implemented in the region.

"By rehabilitating these basic structures in homes, the City Council is reaffirming its commitment to putting people at the center of its policies, ensuring that social progress and well-being really reach the lives of every citizen," says the municipality in the press release.

The rehabilitation of basic sanitation infrastructures has been identified by the local government as an essential pillar for raising the quality of life and dignity in the daily lives of the citizens who benefit.

The Brava City Council has guaranteed that the program will continue on the ground, reaffirming its conviction that access to decent housing is the fundamental foundation for building a stronger, healthier and more prosperous community.
