The local Cape Verdean Social Club hosted the recording of the music video for the song "Kél Mazurkada", by artist Benvindo Cruz - a work that pays homage to the island of São Nicolau and its rich cultural tradition, especially the emblematic mazurka dance.

The event brought together dozens of community members who volunteered to take part in this artistic project. More than 40 people attended, contributing not only their presence, but also their time, energy and dedication. In an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and a spirit of mutual help, the participants were welcomed with warmth and generosity, characteristics so characteristic of Cape Verdean culture.

In addition to participating in the music video, the organizing group made a point of ensuring that everyone felt welcomed by providing delicious food for those present. This gesture reinforced the feeling of togetherness and sharing, making the moment even more special. As many pointed out, it is precisely this kind of collaboration that strengthens community ties and keeps cultural identity alive outside Cape Verde.

The video was produced by Armando Madeira's Scuta Music Production team, in collaboration with M&M Video, which is responsible for capturing the images and sharing the high-resolution content in the future. The music video is due to be released soon and is already eagerly awaited by all those involved and the community in general.

Special recognition went to the people who have been at the forefront of the organization. Among them, Melanie Jandira stood out as the project's main leader, whose dedication and coordination skills were fundamental to the initiative's success. Alongside her, Gamaliel Talho also played an important role in bringing the event to fruition.

The project also saw the participation of various members of the community, including Leelinda Gomes, Evan Ramalho, Georgina Lopes, Tuje Tavares, Samira Gomes, Ericksandro Rodrigues, Luis Silva, Paula da Rosa, Nani Figueiredo, Veronica Figueiredo, Vanusa Braz, Melanie Santos, Edileusa Silva, Lu Tavares and Drew Barbosa, among others. They all contributed to São Nicolau being very well represented in this cultural production.

The song "Kél Mazurkada" thus appears as more than just an artistic creation - it is a tribute to the roots, tradition and pride of a people who, even far from their homeland, continue to celebrate and preserve their culture with passion and authenticity.

This event is another clear example of how the Cape Verdean diaspora keeps its identity alive, promoting initiatives that unite generations and reinforce the feeling of belonging. With the release of the music video planned for the near future, it is hoped that this tribute to São Nicolau will reach even more people and continue to spread Cape Verdean morabeza around the world.
