Nova Sintra City, November 24, 2025 (Bravanews) - The MpD MP for the Brava constituency, Samuel Varela, who recently took office in place of Fernanda Burgo, is in Praia to take part in the Parliamentary Days and the Second November Plenary Session of the National Assembly.
This is Varela's sixth parliamentary agenda since joining the ranks of national MPs, officially representing the island of Brava. His presence at the conference is an opportunity to delve into key issues for the constituency he represents, with emphasis on issues related to mobility, island development and public policies aimed at the smaller islands.
In addition to the parliamentary work, Samuel Varela is also scheduled to meet with the Minister of Transport, a moment considered strategic given the central role that maritime transport plays in the lives of Bravenses. According to information gathered by Bravanews, the MP intends to present concerns and proposals related to the regularity of connections, the quality of services and the need for solutions that bring greater predictability to the population.
Samuel Varela's trip to the capital is part of an agenda that aims to strengthen Brava's representation at the highest institutional level, at a time when issues such as connectivity, health and economic development remain at the top of the island's priorities.
