According to the organization, "Noite só de Mornas" will be a show designed to pay homage to morna, a musical genre that is a symbol of Cape Verdean identity and an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, declared by Unesco on December 11, 2019 . The initiative aims to create an intimate atmosphere, reliving memories, affections and the deep nostalgia that characterize this musical style.

Djuta Barros, known for his unique timbre and strong attachment to the cultural roots of the islands, says that this will be an opportunity to "celebrate morna on a special stage, surrounded by people who carry Cape Verde in their hearts, wherever they are". The artist promises a repertoire full of classics, as well as renewed interpretations that dialog with modernity, but preserve the traditional essence.

The production says that the show will also feature guest musicians and special moments dedicated to key figures in morna, guaranteeing an evening of great artistic quality. For the emigrant community in New England, the event is a rare opportunity to experience Cape Verdean music in all its emotional depth.
