Fire in Monte Vermelho Was Controlled by Citizens in Cachaço
The fire at Monte Vermelho, in Cachaço, was controlled by Daniel Miranda, Keith Calble, João Coelho and Graça Coelho using water and earth, according to the Brava Town Hall.
The Municipality of Brava has reported that a fire on Monte Vermelho, in the town of Cachaço, was brought under control today thanks to the immediate intervention of citizens who were at the scene.
The fire was fought by Daniel Miranda (Yote) and Keith Calble, an American citizen, who started the action when they spotted the fire. The intervention was also supported by local residents João Coelho and Graça Coelho.
According to the information released, the group managed to extinguish the flames using water and earth, preventing the fire from spreading.
The Brava City Council highlighted the promptness of the intervention and thanked all those involved for their collaboration, with reference to the participation of Keith Calble, recognizing his connection and willingness to contribute to the preservation of Brava Island.
