Nilza Varela Foundation builds tenth house for needy families on Brava island

According to information gathered, this new housing is part of the Foundation's ongoing strategy to reduce precarious housing on the island by providing safe, decent homes adapted to the basic needs of the beneficiary families. Many of these families previously lived in conditions considered unworthy, marked by fragile structures, lack of security and absence of minimum comfort conditions.

The construction of the tenth house represents an important symbolic milestone, demonstrating the consistency and perseverance of the work carried out over the last few years. More than just numbers, these are stories of lives transformed, of children living in safer environments and of families regaining hope for a better future.

The Nilza Varela Foundation has relied on the support of partners, volunteers and members of the Bravense diaspora, whose financial and logistical contribution has been decisive in bringing these projects to fruition.
