"If the government is doing badly, we should complain, especially those of us from the island of Brava who suffer silently," said Jorge Henrique, in statements that underline the feeling of abandonment felt by many Bravenses.
Brava Island, known for its weaknesses and lack of resources, has faced significant challenges in its development, with complaints about the need for greater investment in vital areas such as health, education and, in particular, sea and air transport.
