According to the manager, Daniel Tavares, the situation has caused significant inconvenience for both local traders and consumers. "We feel helpless in the face of disruptions in the supply of essential products, a situation that has caused serious inconvenience to all consumers," reads the press release.

Among the most affected products, the statement highlights the shortage of certified bottled water and bagged goods, such as corn, which has been out of stock for over a month, exacerbating the insecurity of access to basic goods on the island.

Tavares stresses that the lack of regular maritime transport not only compromises commercial activity, but also jeopardizes the population's right to access essential goods. "It's an unsustainable reality that jeopardizes the daily lives of families and the trust of customers who always look to Mini Mercado Poupança for quality and reliable products," he says.

Despite the difficulties, he assured that the Mini Mercado team is making efforts to mitigate the effects of the crisis, establishing partnerships with the island of Fogo as a supply alternative, until the maritime transport situation is regularized.

The statement ends with an appeal to the competent authorities to adopt urgent and effective measures to ensure a decent and regular supply to the island of Brava.
