Historic night in sight, artists finalize rehearsal for Atlantic Shipping's 30th Anniversary Gala

The event, much more than a business celebration, is being built as a cultural bridge between the United States and Cape Verde, reaffirming the crucial role Atlantic Shipping has played for the Cape Verdean diaspora for three decades.

The Gala, billed as an ambitious "four shows in one" spectacle, has mobilized a vast array of talent. Audiences are treated to performances by some of the most loved and respected names in Cape Verdean music.

• Cremilda Medina: With a soft and soulful voice, the artist promises to transport the audience to the landscapes of morabeza and "sodade", pillars of traditional Cape Verdean music. Her concert is one of the most eagerly awaited moments for lovers of morna and coladeira.

• Assol Garcia: Known for her vibrant energy and captivating stage presence, Assol Garcia will present a fusion of tradition and modernity, showing the evolution and vitality of the archipelago's music.

• Gilito: A legendary figure, the singer with his unmistakable voice will take the audience back to the deepest roots of the islands' music, celebrating the authenticity and cultural richness that have made him a reference.

The highlight of the evening will be the special show "Ilha a Ilha". This is a unique collaborative performance in which each island of Cape Verde will be represented by its best voices, in a tribute to the diversity and unity of the archipelago. The stage of the Venus de Milo will be transformed into a sound map, taking the audience on a musical journey from Santo Antão to Brava, highlighting the cultural and musical specificities of each island.

The event will be hosted by Djosinha and will feature a surprise special guest, adding to the anticipation surrounding the evening.
