Poet, journalist and writer, he was born on Ilha Brava on May 21, 1932. He is an effective member of the International Academy of Letters, and lives in Rio de Janeiro. He graduated in Accounting and Business Administration, and in Journalism and Economic Sciences.

He is an effective member of the International Academy of Letters, and lives in Rio de Janeiro. He graduated in Accounting and Business Administration, and in Journalism and Economic Sciences.
He participated in several literary events, collaborated in magazines and newspapers in Brazil, Europe, Cape Verde and the USA. He founded and directed, with Luis Romano, the magazine "Morabeza - International Promotion of Cape Verdean Art and Culture".
Since he was a little boy, he adapted to the contingencies of disadvantaged life in the Archipelago.
His soul brings back the shades of scenes he saw and shared among humble people.
Therefore, almost all of his writings synthesize a message to lead our people on the path of faith, perseverance and work, for the sake of a better Cape Verde.

I selected this poem to remind the Ministry of Culture of Cape Verde that tributes are made in life.
There are several Cape Verdean personalities who deserve public recognition for their achievements in favor of Culture.
