Nova Sintra, May 30 - The island of Brava kicked off its municipal and St. John's festivities today with the traditional opening of the stalls, which this year will have 13 spaces set up to welcome visitors and residents until June 24.

The information was provided by the Councillor for Culture, Aliana Andrade, who invited the entire Bravense population to take part in the festivities, highlighting the atmosphere of fraternization and celebration of local culture.

Despite the large number of requests to set up stalls, the limited space allowed only 13 to be opened. The site will have public toilets, containers and a dedicated sanitation team, and the municipality is appealing for the community's cooperation in keeping the space clean and organized.

The rules regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages will be maintained, namely the ban on the sale to under-18s and the sale of drinks in glass bottles inside the sports grounds.

The opening of the stalls will be livened up with performances by local DJs and, on June 24, the official date of the festivities, there will be cultural and sporting activities to celebrate the island's biggest festival in a big way. The traditional folk dance will be hosted by "DJ 2", while all the other activities will be organized by the town hall.
