The mayor of Brava considered today that the book of photographs of Brava that the municipality intends to launch in June 2023 will be an important product for the promotion of the island as a tourist destination.

Speaking to Inforpress, Francisco Tavares announced that they are doing everything to have the book ready in June 2023, in order to launch it for the municipal festivities, celebrated on the 24th of June.

According to the mayor, the process is already very advanced, emphasizing that all the photographic collection has already been made and about 90 percent (%) to 95% of the texts that will accompany the photographs are already prepared and written.

At the moment, he highlighted that they are in the process of hiring a mock-up technician, stressing that halfway through the municipality has partnered with the Sustainable Brava Foundation to follow up the process together.

As for the budget, Francisco Tavares announced that there is already a budget for the production and printing of the same, stressing that it is intended to have a print run of 3000 copies initially, reinforcing that it will be a 300-page book with high quality photographs.

The project is included in the tourist promotion package for Brava, whose objective of this package, informed the mayor, is to “create the tourist identity” of the island, with the slogan “Brava, the flower that seduces” having been designed for this purpose. , which is now used in everything related to tourism and the promotion of Brava products.

Within this project, tourist signs have already been implemented on the island, a tourist guide for Brava has been prepared, tourist guides have been trained and, in addition to the tourist promotion book, the space that will house the island's interpretive center is under construction.

At the beginning, mayor Francisco Tavares stressed that with this project, he hoped that the demands and demand of Ilha Brava could be answered in the “best way” and with a “better quality” service.

The mayor also believes that the project will contribute to a “different promotion” of tourism in and on the island, one of the most “clean and organized” municipalities in the country, but which until now has been done “by word of mouth”.
