Porto Novo: Zé Luís Solidarity Project brings solidarity to families in Monte Trigo and Tarrafal

In addition to delivering basic food baskets, this project also took items of clothing to needy people in the two remote communities of Porto Novo, as part of a solidarity campaign in favor of the families affected by the August 11 floods in this municipality.

The Porto Novo town council congratulated the Zé Luís Solidarity Project for the solidarity action that encompassed some of the municipality's communities, which consisted of delivering a set of donations to families in vulnerable situations.

This initiative, says a note from the town hall, will go a long way towards minimizing the impact of this disaster and providing some comfort to the most vulnerable families.

The council praised "the excellent work" that this project has done within the communities, in a gesture that "demonstrates that with solidarity, empathy and a spirit of mutual help, it is possible to renew hope and strengthen community ties".
