Presidency on the island: José Maria Neves visits Brava in outreach campaign
From November 27 to December 1, the island of Brava will host the "Presidency on the Island" initiative, led by the President of the Republic, José Maria Neves.
According to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic, the project seeks to strengthen proximity between the head of state and the population, promoting local development and social inclusion in Cape Verde.
It should be remembered that the "Presidency on the Island" was inaugurated by the Presidency of the Republic in March 2022, with the first edition in São Vicente, and "has allowed a new form of relationship between the President of the Republic and the populations of the different regions of the country, who, periodically and without the barrier of insularity, that is, in their place of residence, have direct and easy access to the highest representative of the State".
Boa Vista, Santo Antão, São Nicolau, as well as Santiago Norte, have already received the initiative.
