Mayor of Brava and Mayor of Brockton design partnerships in Health, Education and Civil Protection
City of Brockton, May 27, 2026 (Bravanews) - Brava Mayor Amândio Brito's official agenda on American soil continues to advance with a focus on creating new opportunities for the municipality. In a form of municipal diplomacy, the Brava mayor was recently received at a working meeting by the Mayor of Brockton, Dr. Moisés Rodrigues.
The working meeting served to plan strategic partnerships between the two cities, with social development and strengthening the safety of the population as priorities. Throughout the meeting, the two mayors paid special attention to areas considered structural for the island's development, with particular emphasis on the areas of Health, Education and Civil Protection.
The city of Brockton is known for hosting an expressive, vibrant Cape Verdean community that is strongly attached to its roots. In this sense, institutional rapprochement and the establishment of direct bridges with Brockton's local leadership are seen as fundamental steps for bilateral cooperation.
With this meeting, the aim is to channel experiences, technical knowledge and practical support that can generate positive impacts and concrete improvements in the daily lives and quality of life of the inhabitants of the island of Brava.
