President of Brava City Council claims to be clandestinely recorded in discussion about bank loan for Placa Desportiva do Palhal
City of Nova Sintra, February 20, 2024 (Bravanews) - The Mayor of Brava claimed to have been clandestinely recorded in an issue related to the explanation of the bank loan for the construction of a sports board in Palhal.
According to President Francisco Tavares, the Ministry promised and gave the green light in 2020 to send funds for the construction of the aforementioned sign. However, the financing only took place in 2023, where the Sports and Youth Institute will finance two thirds of the work, with the City Council receiving one third of the financing.
In conversation with Bravanews, the mayor stated that PAICV simply recorded and published the entire explanation instead of just releasing what they wanted and how they wanted. The situation raises questions about transparency and the use of information by local political parties.
The mayor expressed dissatisfaction with the way PAICV in Brava is doing politics, claiming that the aforementioned party is doing everything to ensure that the population of Palhal does not have a place to practice sports and spend their free time. This accusation raises questions about the motivation behind local political actions and the impact they can have on the community.
