Paving works on Rua Direita already underway in Nova Sintra
Nova Sintra City, November 15, 2025 (Bravanews) - Brava City Council has announced the official start of the paving work on Rua Direita, one of the most emblematic and busy roads in the city of Nova Sintra. The intervention, long awaited by the population, aims to resolve the constraints that the poor state of the road had been causing to both drivers and pedestrians.
According to the municipality, the main aim is to significantly improve traffic conditions and reinforce road safety, making access more comfortable, safe and functional for all those who use that urban artery on a daily basis.
The work is part of the ongoing plan to modernize local infrastructure, a commitment made by the Brava City Council to create better conditions for mobility and quality of life in the city.
The paving of Rua Direita is being funded by the Government of Cape Verde, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Housing, under Program Contract No. 1 - PRRA - MIOTH/2023.
With this investment, the municipality reaffirms its determination to move forward with structuring projects and respond to the real needs of the population, ensuring that Nova Sintra continues to evolve in a sustainable and organized manner.
