Rui Figueiredo Soares visits the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macau

As part of his private visit to the People's Republic of China, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, Rui Figueiredo, paid a working visit to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macau, on the 10th of February.

The Minister, who was received by the Secretary General, Ji Xianzheng, was better informed about the work of the Permanent Secretariat and the plan of activities of the Macau Forum to be developed in 2023.

The Cape Verdean official highlighted the importance that the Government of Cape Verde attaches to Forum Macau, as well as its full availability to continue supporting the work of the Permanent Secretariat.

He also expressed the desire to further strengthen cooperation in various areas between Cape Verde, China and other participating countries, taking advantage of the multilateral mechanism of the Macau Forum and Macau's role as a Sino-Lusophone platform.
