Benfica Sports Club of NSM prepares to take part in the National Championship and Cape Verde Cup and asks the community for support

In a conversation with Bravanews, club president Adilson Bango confirmed that Benfica da Brava will take part in both the Cape Verde Cup and the National Football Championship. According to the leader, the Cape Verde Cup is due to kick off on April 11, while the National Championship is scheduled to start on April 18.

Participation in these competitions represents a historic moment for the club and for soccer on the island of Brava, as it is an opportunity to represent the region at national level, but it also brings great challenges, especially financially and logistically.

According to Adilson Bango, one of the club's biggest concerns at the moment has to do with the costs of organizing home games, especially with regard to welcoming visiting teams from other islands, including expenses for accommodation, food, transport and organizing the games.

Faced with these financial limitations, the President of Benfica da Brava has launched an appeal for support from institutions, companies, friends, members and supporters of the club, in order to help the team represent the island worthily in national competitions.

The leader stresses that this is not just a participation by the club, but a representation of the entire island of Brava, so he considers it important to involve the community, emigrants and local partners so that the team can face the competition in better conditions.

Benfica's management believes that, with everyone's support, it will be possible to guarantee the necessary conditions for participation in national competitions and continue to raise the name of the club and the island of Brava in Cape Verdean soccer.
