Thanks and venting

On behalf of our family, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us since June 22, when our dear Adianela passed away. They were days of great pain, but the affection, messages, prayers and support of so many friends made all the difference.

Thanks and venting
Thanks and venting
To the Cape Verdean community in the diaspora, especially in the United States, his family and friends, our sincere thanks for their solidarity and support, even at a distance.
A special thanks to the people of the island of Brava, who showed a profound gesture of respect and affection by granting time off on the day of our Adianela's funeral. An act that deeply touched our hearts and will never be forgotten.
We extend our gratitude to all the people of Cape Verde, to our colleagues from the Food Processing and Preparation course in Povoação Ribeira Grande Santo Antão and to our special friends from Porto Novo Angela Maria Nascimento , Laura Nascimento , Varlene Evora on the beach, friend Nira Andrade Mendes and from all the islands who, with words, presence or prayers, were with us at this difficult time.
To the people of Sal, especially Palmeira, thank you very much for your warm and humane welcome. I'm home now, with a sad heart, but with a sense of accomplishment.
With excitement, we shared that tomorrow would be the day that our Adianela would receive her graduation certificate - the fruit of her effort, dedication and dreams. Unfortunately, life didn't allow that celebration, but her example lives on in each of us.
I can't help but express our indignation at the silence of the competent authorities, who have so far failed to speak out or provide any support. The lack of inter-island transportation is glaring. It's been two weeks of frustrated attempts to travel. I was only able to return thanks to the help of benefactors, paying 15,000$00 for a plane ticket. And to get to Sal, it was another sacrifice: I left in the morning and was only able to board the plane in the evening to get to Mindelo.
It's unfortunate that, at a time of mourning, we still have to face so many unnecessary obstacles.
Despite everything, we continue with faith and gratitude. Thank you to everyone who was with us. May the memory of our Adianela live on as a symbol of strength, courage and determination.
Thank you all very much.
