Our foundation visited the island of Sal in October with a simple but deeply human objective: to help tackle the housing shortage on the island gradually and with dignity. Since that visit, I have maintained close contact with the Mayor, Dr. Júlio Lopes, and his team, working together to turn this vision into reality.
With God's guidance, in 2026 we will hand over a fully paid-for house, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, to Mrs. Arminda Medina and her two children - replacing a life lived in a cardboard box with the dignity of a real home.
This foundation is not just about walls and a roof. It's about creating stability, laying the foundations for education, paving the way for a better future and giving back the ability to dream. It's about giving families the chance to be recognized, to belong and to be part of Cape Verde's potential and opportunities.
