With a total length of 4.6 kilometers, the new road will have a 6-meter wide carriageway and will be paved with sidewalks. The project also includes earthmoving, the construction of retaining walls, hydraulic works, and the installation of signage and safety features, ensuring a robust and durable infrastructure.

The Brava City Council emphasizes that the road is more than just a simple access route. The project's main objective is to promote coastal tourism, strengthen fishing and livestock farming, and boost the economies of the localities it passes through. With the new road, it is expected that local communities will have better living conditions and that the island will become "more accessible, developed, and prepared for the future."

The new road will provide new access to Fajã d'Água, connecting it via the seafront, significantly improving mobility and road safety. The City Council reiterates its commitment to continuing to collaborate with the Government and communities, reinforcing the vision of an increasingly "connected and resilient" island.
