Benfica of NSM receives monetary support from the City Council for participation in national competitions

Three decades after its foundation, Benfica de Nossa Senhora do Monte has written the most glorious chapter in its history. Winning the regional title was just the start of a perfect season, in which the club achieved the historic "double"by also lifting the Brava Cup.

The team's dominance was reinforced by individual accolades, with the club taking home the trophies for Best Goalkeeper and Top Scorer.

In recognition of their exceptional performance, the Brava City Council handed out a financial incentive of 100,000$00 (one hundred thousand escudos). According to the municipality, this amount is intended to reward sporting merit and serve as logistical support for upcoming competitions.

Now, attention is turning away from the island. Benfica will have the responsibility and honor of representing Brava on two prestigious fronts, namely the Cape Verde Cup and the National Championship.

"This success is a reflection of the club's commitment and a source of pride for all Bravenses. The municipality's support is an investment in our sporting identity," the city council stressed during the ceremony.

The municipality took the opportunity to praise the joint efforts that have made it possible for competitions to make a vibrant return to the island. Thanks were extended to the Associação Regional de Futebol da Brava (ARFB), club managers, referees and partners.

It's worth remembering that the CMB's commitment to sport began before the first whistle blew: at the start of the season, each of the four participating clubs received direct support of 150,000$00, guaranteeing the sustainability of the competition.

Now, all that's left is for the island of Brava to unite in one voice to support Benfica de Nossa Senhora do Monte on their journey across the national pitch. Congratulations, Champions!
