Brava: Water from the Encontro spring, after filtering and treatment, available for sale on the market in Nova Sintra
Nova Sintra, October 15, 2023 - The residents of Nova Sintra, on Brava Island, now have the opportunity to enjoy pure and crystal clear water directly from the local spring, thanks to an innovative water treatment project, carried out by company Ecco Água, which is winning over the local community.
Brava Island, known for its natural beauty and its water with a high level of fluoride, has now seen its spring supply the local market with water that has undergone treatment and filtration. This treatment project is the result of investment by a foreign company, ECCO Água, which placed a machine on the municipal market in Nova Sintra.
It goes through an advanced treatment process, which includes filtration, disinfection and remineralization, ensuring that consumers receive safe and pure water, sold at an affordable price.
Treated water from the Brava spring is now available in 5 and 10 liter bottles and is sold on the local market. Residents can drive to the aforementioned space, accompanied by empty gallons, paying 80$00 for 5 liters and 160$00 for 10 liters.
In addition to providing a safe source of drinking water for the residents of Nova Sintra, this project also aims to reduce dependence on single-use plastics by encouraging the use of recyclable and returnable bottles.
Local residents and visitors can now enjoy the purity of Brava's spring water, making this island paradise an even more attractive and sustainable destination.
