Brava: Church of the Nazarene announces the start of work on the new church in the community of Nossa Senhora do Monte

António Gonçalves, who was speaking to Inforpress, pointed out that the first steps have already been taken with the earthmoving of the land, an "important milestone" that was only possible thanks to the "generous" support of the local authority.

"We are deeply grateful for this ongoing collaboration, which has been fundamental to the progress of this long-dreamed-of project," he acknowledged.

However, he emphasized that the project is not just the church's, but everyone's, and, he added, as the Body of Christ, Christians have a responsibility to contribute so that the dream of seeing a house worthy of worshipping God erected becomes a reality.

In this sense, he lovingly appealed to all his brothers and sisters, especially those who are off the island, to extend their hands and hearts in support of this cause, stressing that help is essential.

"Together, we can see the birth of this church. You who are friends and love this parish, take part in this historic moment, because it is God's work and we are just the workers. Let's act with faith, dedication and love, certain that everything we do for him is not in vain," he assured.
