Brava: Coast Guard promotes return to the island to celebrate 30th. birthday
The Cape Verde Coast Guard detachment on Brava Island today organized a tour of the island on the ship Ilhéu dos Pássaros, together with some institutions, as part of the celebration of the 30th. corporation's anniversary.
Speaking to Inforpress, the deputy corporal of the detachment in Brava, Manuel Brito, informed that the national ceremony celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Coast Guard will take place on the island of São Vicente, on Wednesday, 11.
According to the same source, the detachment has already promoted some sporting activities on Brava Island, in partnership with the local authority, Água Brava and the National Police (PN), among others.
As the same source explained, the island has a Coast Guard detachment, so they felt obliged to promote some events so as not to let the date go unnoticed in the municipality.
“On Saturday and Sunday, we organized a futsal tournament with the participation of several institutions, namely the PN, the city council and teachers, but we won the competition”, he concluded.
