Championship/Brava: The games played ended in one-all draws, increasing the uncertainty and competitiveness of the competition.
Cidade de Nova Sintra, February 23, 2026 (Bravanews) - The fourth round of the championship was marked by strong emotions and results that keep everything open in the race for the title. The two games played ended in one-all draws, increasing the uncertainty and competitiveness of the competition.
In the first encounter, No Pintcha and Benfica shared points (1-1) in a balanced duel, but with different feelings for both teams. Benfica entered the match poorly, conceding space and allowing No Pintcha to take control at various times.
Despite the initial difficulties, it was Benfica who opened the scoring. Ricky opened the scoring after a great move by Djony, who laid the ball off on the halfway line. The striker finished with class, putting his team ahead.
No Pintcha, however, never let up. Superior in several periods and more creative in the offensive construction, the team was rewarded near the end. Nelson, coming off the bench, scored the equalizer with a beautifully-taken goal.
On the Reds' side, anxiety seemed to weigh them down, reflected in some fatigue and difficulties in managing the result.
In the second match of the day, Morabeza and Académica played out the Nova Sintra derby, which also ended in a draw (1-1), but not without controversy.
Morabeza was unhappy with the refereeing, especially when it came to Académica's first goal, claiming that the "Mica" player was offside. There were also doubts about a set-piece when, after a corner, the ball hit the net too quickly, creating the illusion that it had hit the bar.
Despite their complaints, Morabeza were unable to impose any clear superiority. Académica were organized and determined, with the youngsters from "Mica" showing more intensity and desire throughout the match.
With these results, the championship gains even more emotion and everything points to a title decision only in the last round, promising strong emotions for the fans.
After the fourth round, the league table shows Benfica in first place with 10 points, Morabeza with 7 points in second place, in third place is No Pintcha with 4 points and Acadêmica da Brava is in last place with just 1 point.
