Court orders pre-trial detention for an individual suspected of drug trafficking offenses
This Friday, the Brava district court imposed pre-trial detention as a coercive measure on an individual suspected of committing the crime of drug trafficking.
According to a police source, the young man, born on the island of Santiago and resident in Pico Senhor do Mundo, was carrying 2,427 grams of dried weed, "Padjinha", in his luggage, which was immediately seized by the authorities.
After being arrested in flagrante delicto, the individual was submitted on Friday to a first judicial interrogation and the Public Prosecutor's Office applied preventive detention as a measure of coercion due to evidence of drug trafficking crimes.
