According to information gathered, the arrests occurred within the scope of a case in which the three are suspected of committing the crimes of influence peddling and active corruption. Judicial authorities reportedly ordered their detention for the purposes of investigation and gathering evidence in the case, which is being processed in the Brava district court.

During their detention, the suspects were questioned by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Brava District, which is conducting the investigation. Following these proceedings, their release was ordered, and any potential coercive measures applied to the defendants are not yet publicly known.

The case remains under investigation by the competent authorities, who are seeking to determine responsibility in the alleged scheme. According to sources contacted by Bravanews, the release of the suspects does not mean the case has been closed; it will continue its legal course through the judicial system.

It is important to emphasize that the principle of presumption of innocence prevails, meaning that no one can be considered guilty before a final and unappealable conviction.

It should be recalled that the name of Francisco Tavares, who led the Brava municipality in the previous term, had already been associated with this process involving alleged irregularities related to municipal management and public contracts.

To date, there are no known public reactions from those affected regarding the authorities' decision.
