Football/Brava: Morabeza and Benfica get off to a winning start in the regional championship
The Morabeza and Benfica teams won their respective matches in the first round of the Brava regional soccer championship, played at the Aquiles de Oliveira Stadium.
In the opening match of the round, Morabeza got the better of Académica, winning 2-1, with goals from Mimixa and Fufuco.

Benfica's goals were scored by Djony and Rick, while Alex scored Nô Pintcha's goal from the penalty spot. With these results, Morabeza and Benfica now lead the league table, both with three points, while Nô Pintcha and Académica have yet to pick up a point in this edition of the regional championship. The matches in the Brava regional championship will be interspersed with those in the Brava Cup, which is scheduled to begin on the 25th of this month and will be contested by the island's four federated teams, namely Benfica, Académica, Morabeza and Nô Pintcha.
