Samuel Varela, who ran for his own succession, had no opponent, was re-elected unanimously, in an election in which all four federated teams with the right to vote participated.

“What motivated me in the first place to run again is to serve and serve my island and community well. I also feel the support and affection of the people who have always encouraged me to continue during my two terms”, he highlighted.

Varela also said he believes that his team will bring more “value” and a lot of gains to the municipality and also to the growth of the association as an institution.

Hence, he informed, the team has a project in progress and that Brava City Council has already provided an appropriate space to put into practice an idea that he considers “very ambitious”.

“In an annex to the city council building we want to build a headquarters for the association, as we have already contacted an architect who, in turn, has already visited the site and we do not feel comfortable abandoning the position without at least starting this project”, he assured.

The start of the 20023/24 football season in Brava is scheduled for Sunday, December 3rd, with the Super Cup games between Sport Clube da Morabeza and Clube Desportivo do Nô Pintcha.
