Brava Municipal Council and Desporto Brava sign memorandum of understanding
The Brava City Council, through the Sports Department under the supervision of Mr. Councilman Mário Soares, presided over the delivery of a room, in the Youth Center in Nova Sintra, to serve as the “Desporto Brava” Office, through the signing of the memorandum between the parties.
A Signing of this Memorandum, accompanied by the attribution of financial support in the amount of 50,000$00 (fifty thousand escudos) for the acquisition of some equipment to improve the quality of the live broadcast service of sporting events in Brava, is an important milestone for that what we want in terms of sport in Brava in all its aspects.
On the one hand, this is recognition of the work that “Desporto Brava” has done on the island, taking sporting activities carried out in Brava to the entire national territory and our vast diaspora.
On the other hand, it is the belief on the part of Brava City Council in the project that this institution presented to us. And this act, more than any word, clearly demonstrates this city council's policy of proximity, cooperation and incentives in the field of sport. This memorandum reflects what will be the competences and responsibilities of “Desporto Brava” in the promotion and dissemination of sport in the municipal territory.
We take this moment to congratulate the Management of this institution in the person of Mr. Napoleão Gomes for this excellent initiative and, to reinforce here that the City Council remains open to, together, discuss other projects with an impact on everything that is beneficial to sport and for our Bravense youth.
