Gambia FC, one of the most titled teams in Bravense soccer, has announced its withdrawal from the 2025 Inter-Zone Tournament, claiming to have been the target of injustice and arbitration manipulation.

According to a statement signed by Gambiano Gomes and published on the Desporto Brava page, the club claims that the decision to punish applied by the organization, led by Escola Nataly, was "premeditated and in bad faith".

The conflict originated in the match between Gambia FC and Furna, where a Gambia player was sent off for accumulating two yellow cards. However, referee Osvaldino (Vady) allegedly reported the incident as a straight red card, which led to Gambia FC losing three points - a decision that the club considers to have no legal basis, especially as it was taken eight days after the match.

The text also accuses João de Júlio and João Monteiro (Djan), manager of the team from Nossa Senhora do Monte, of influencing the refereeing decision. Gambia FC's management guarantees that it has images and evidence to support its version of the facts and asks the public to judge for themselves.

Despite the indignant tone, the statement ends with an apology to the fans, justifying the withdrawal as an act of defense of the club's dignity and values.
