Gesture of love for Mica deserves recognition

Mica received around 25 pairs of boots, 4 balls and 48 vests, materials that will be of great importance in preparing for the next season. More than just fans, they are friends of Académica who, over the years, have always been there to help the team through the most difficult times.

This support gains even more value at a time when Académica has returned to compete in the regional championship, after many years away due to lack of financial and structural conditions.

However, we can't help but express our dissatisfaction with the treatment given at customs. Despite the fact that it was a help for a team without many resources, the board had to pay around 40,000 escudos to pick up the package. A situation that ends up discouraging not only Mica's board, but also those who, with great sacrifice, try to support soccer and contribute to the development of our island.

We hope that there will be more sensitivity in these cases and that the authorities will look differently at support for teams and organizations that work for the benefit of youth and sport.
