Grand Final of the San Djon Brava 2025 Tournament Celebrates the Spirit of Sport and Tradition

With completely packed stands and a vibrant atmosphere, the public showed their enthusiasm and unconditional support for the finalist teams, celebrating not only sport, but also the spirit of unity and fraternization that marks the festivities of the island's patron saint.

The first final of the day was for the women's team, where the União team were crowned champions by beating the Cachaço team in a game played with determination and grit. Then it was the turn of the Old Glories, where the experience and class of the veterans shone through on the pitch.

The Lem team beat Cachaço 4-2, adding another title for the town. In the long-awaited senior men's final, the match between Santa Bárbara and Young Boys was a real spectacle. After a thrilling draw in regulation time, the decision went to extra time, where Santa Bárbara came out on top with a final score of 5-4 to win the championship. The towns of Lem and Cachaço were in the spotlight, with Lem appearing in three finals and Cachaço in two, showing the strength and commitment of these communities to Bravense futsal.

The evening ended in a festive atmosphere, with songs, drums and smiles, in a celebration marked by joy, respect and sportsmanship. The island of Brava is celebrating São João with moments of unity and friendship. But the sports party isn't over yet! Tomorrow, at 2pm, at the Aquiles de Oliveira Stadium, the final of the soccer tournament will be held, with matches between the senior teams and the old glories of Furna and Nova Sintra. The invitation is out: let's all support our teams and end the San Djon 2025 festivities on a high note!
