Minister Clóvis Silva visits the Registry, Notary and Identification Services.
The Minister of Justice, Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Parliamentary Affairs and Social Communication, Clóvis Silva, visited yesterday, August 6th, the Registry, Notary and Identification services, RNI, namely the National Archive of Civil and Criminal Identification and the three Notary Offices in the city of Praia.
The objectives that guided this visit were related to the need to get a feel for the entire operational dynamic of the RNI services, to contact management and staff, to learn about the technical procedures for issuing different documents, the ongoing projects, and the existing challenges.
In practice, the Minister intends that “the processes related to the RNI services become increasingly simple, fast and efficient, with the essential focus on resolving demands and satisfying users. The extraordinary evolution that has occurred in the RNI over the years is noteworthy, but it is necessary to simplify and accelerate the processes, and it is also crucial to allocate more financial and human resources to respond, with the desired efficiency, to the ever-increasing demand for services from users.”
The visit is part of the program of institutional contacts that the Minister has been carrying out since taking office and its main objective is to allow him to become familiar with the workings of the entire Ministry of Justice, including the services/entities under its supervision. Accompanying the Minister on the visit were the Director-General of Registries, Notaries and Identification, Sofia Lima, and her team.
