Nova Sintra hosts Startup Weekend Brava 2025 and promises to boost local entrepreneurship

The town of Nova Sintra, on the island of Brava, will host the world's largest entrepreneurship event: Startup Weekend, which returns in 2025 for a marathon of innovation and business creation. Organized with the support of the Brava City Council, the event will take place from August 1 to 3 and will challenge participants to turn an idea into a working startup in just 54 hours.

Startup Weekend is recognized worldwide for bringing together people with different profiles - students, entrepreneurs, professionals and enthusiasts - willing to learn, create solutions and launch innovative businesses in record time. The program includes a complete immersion in the world of entrepreneurship, with access to experienced mentors, practical workshops, networking opportunities and specialized support.

The event will be held with the following program:

• Friday, August 1st: from 5pm to 10pm

• Saturday, August 2: from 9am to 10pm

• Sunday, August 3: 9am to 8pm

During the weekend, participants will be able to count on seven meals, a certificate of participation, an official event t-shirt and guidance from top mentors. In addition to learning, it will be a unique opportunity for those who want to turn innovative ideas into real businesses and be part of a global network of entrepreneurs.
